After finishing law school at the University of Barcelona, Fernando Garriga Ariño continued his studies, earning a doctorate in procedural law from the same university under the direction of Dr. Manuel Serra Domínguez.
Working as both an associate university professor and lawyer since 2001, Fernando Garriga Ariño founded the Garriga Ariño law practice, initially specializing in procedural, commercial, franchise and horizontal property law. Having become an assistant professor teaching the section on bankruptcy law in the master’s program for International Business Law at Barcelona’s Esade Law School in the 2013 and 2014 academic years, as well as having become an arbitrator attached to the Barcelona Arbitration Court, he expanded his range of specialties to include comprehensive business advice, bankruptcy law and alternative dispute resolution methods. Attorney Laia Vergés Cárceles joined the firm in 2013, bring her wide-ranging experience in diverse aspects of the law relating to legal advice and business management. Once Ms. Vergés Cárceles was on board, the firm expanded its operations to include industrial and intellectual property law, as well as family law.
